Numb;

The whole vibe of this piece is inspired by melancholy feelings. Down to the color palette, I wanted to depict a heartbreak and give the viewer a sense of dullness so I only used low-chroma colors . The Character’s hands show two pieces of a broken heart, and the fingers are working as ligaments trying to mend this heart back together. The right chest shows fragmented ice, where this heart once lived. Telling us that the character is “Numb” and doesn’t feel shit right now. On the left side of the face, there is an upside down knife and the eyes combined creates a semi-colon. These signs are not to be taken literally, but metaphorically as they were inspired by the experiences of others. Enjoy
